Help for beginning farmers

Farming is hard to start and hard to hand down. In 2026 we eliminated the annual cap on the Beginning Farmer Tax Credit, so that people trying to get into farming — and older farmers trying to pass their operations on — aren’t competing over a fixed pot of money.

The same agreement funds research into sustainable aviation fuel made from Minnesota-grown crops. New markets for our farmers, and a cleaner way to fly.
